DESCRIPTION:
BASIC
USE:
Nelson PCS Pipe Choke Systems are prefabricated devices used to
seal penetrations and restore the fire rating to floors or walls in which
openings have been made for the passage of nonmetallic pipes. When exposed
to fire the intumescent material will expand to seal voids caused by
deteriorating nonmetallic pipe, maintaining the seal and preventing the
passage of fire or smoke to adjacent areas.

MATERIALS:
Nelson PCS firestop device consists of a heavy gage metallic
collar filled with a highly intumescent material and flush mounted to the
wall or floor.
APPLICABLE STANDARDS:
UL 1479 Fire Tests of

Nelson PCS meets the
requirements of all three model building codes (National Building Code,
Uniform Building Code, Standard Building Code), as well as the National
